not the evening we had planned and had been looking forward to,
but it ended up being a great alternative.

our original plans were to take in the smell of racing fuel, the smoke of burn outs, and the noises of powerful engines as they took off from the starting line.

our planned evening of spending a night at the drag races came to an end as we discovered they had been called off for the evening due to an earlier down pour. my guys were especially disappointed by the news. last night was our only shot at being a spectator at this annual event since bill gets to work a 12 hour shift both days of the weekend.
