Nest Feathers and Twine - Formally Artist's Block Studio

The things that make a house a home and the stuff that holds is all together.

Years ago I started this blog with a mindset and goals that I have found have changed direction over time. I am excited to say that this blog has a new name.....Nest Feathers and Twine. I hope you come by and visit often. Feel free to get comfortable and kick off your shoes and join me on this journey of metamorphosis.

altered cabinet cards

a couple of altered cabinet cards i did earlier this year that i just realized i had not scanned in!

i do not have the heart to use the real thing, i hate the thought of destroying a part of history. using the originals of this particular photo would never be an option since they are my husbands relatives... part of the boone clan....daniel boone that is. he is also part northern cherokee indian, but no photos from that part of his history. Posted by Picasa

i love that greenie- i occasionally make copies- but i gotta tell you- it is very cool to work on an original- better to sand and paint... find an old (!) crummy one and give it a whirl!
ps-probably no mittens this year-

Christine! How very cool are these cards, as well as the info ... by the way... Daniel Boone is in my blood as well, but on my mother's side of the family. At least that's the story. Pretty cool, eh?
